City Serve // 2015

City Serve Camp is a youth camp for ages 6th 

grade to 12th grade. This camp is designed to

 serve others and lead the lost to Christ.

In the mornings, City Serve ate early and drove down to South Memphis to serve our city. They came back with paint all over, sweaty, scrapes, and smiles on their faces. They even brought home a chicken... 

In the late afternoons & evenings we had an epic time! Blob, slide, swings and worship! We brought it all out for these fun kids!

We are blessed to partner along side this ministry!

Happy Birthday // Mary Kate

Surprise party for one of our own! Mary Kate is rockin her second summer as a big part of Team Grove. Her consistent smile, work-hard attitude, and loving heart makes her easy to work alongside. 

(Candles wouldn't light, means we sing Happy Birthday not once, not twice, but three times! That's how we do it! haha)

  The Grove At Red Oak Lake

   For twenty-seven students, May 18, 2015 was the beginning of a summer serving Jesus on the mission field in Cordova, Tennessee.  As 9am approached, cars, full of people that have been covered in prayer by our leadership team, filled the parking lot.  Our staff are the most elite group of people that you will meet.  Go check out our "Who We Are" page to meet each of us. 

 

We have all been called to share the Gospel and proclaim our stories of how Christ has brought us back to Him and transformed our hearts with with over fifteen thousand people who will drive through our gates this summer.

        We have the unique privilege to serve the world by blessing those that the Lord sends our way.  We pray that God would send us the broken so that we can serve in such a way that ministries are restored and nations are reached right here from Cordova, Tennessee.

"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding" Colossians 1:9 

We believe in the power of prayer.  Before you are on campus, our leadership meets to pray over you. While you are at camp, our staff walks the camp to pray over you.  When you leave camp, our staff meets to pray that your time at camp equipped your ministry to return to your own mission field.  You are covered in prayer.

Staff Training- May 18 and 19

Recreation is big part of our ministry as a summer staff.  We love engaging the students in fun activities, but our main goal is for our campers to leave us knowing that they are loved by Jesus Christ - along the way we want them to experience the best kind of fun.

Team Grove goes beyond just the summer. You may wonder what we do during our off season.  Our team travels during the winter to many churches to worship and come along side your ministry for a night of encouragement. 

Here are a few moments captured of our staff when they received their "Team Grove" staff shirts. 

 After 36 hours of training, our staff is ready to serve you.  We can't wait for the days ahead where over 300 of our beds are filled daily.  Where kids are running around with blue lips from the sno cones in the snack shack. Where towels are hanging to dry on the clotheslines, and when we get to sit outside to talk about ways that you impacted our lives, as a staff as we listen to you worship from across the lake.  We are so excited that you are choosing to step away from your life, and experience Christ in a powerful way with us.
